The Crawford County High School Band — featuring student musicians from schools across the county — delivered a stirring performance of the Military Medley during the 2025 Crawford County Veterans Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at Bucyrus High School.

With just one hour of joint rehearsal before the event, these talented students came together to honor local veterans through music that embodies courage, sacrifice, and unity.

On August 21, Bucyrus Council President Kurt Fankhauser uploaded this video to his Bucyrus Exposed channel, accusing Jon Van Hesteren of provoking former Councilwoman Carolyn Shireman during the July 29, 2025 council meeting in order to trigger a probation violation.

Shortly after FreeWire began investigating the claims, Fankhauser deleted both his Facebook account and this YouTube video. We are re-uploading it here in full to preserve the public record.

Fankhauser’s Deleted Video: “Did Jon Van Hesteren aka Jonsky Yatyas Try to Set Carolyn Shireman Up?”

On August 21, Bucyrus City Council President Kurt Fankhauser uploaded a video to his Bucyrus Exposed YouTube channel accusing Jon Van Hesteren of provoking former Councilwoman Carolyn Shireman during the July 29 council meeting in order to trigger a probation violation.

This video shows the City Hall security footage from that night, condensed and zoomed in on the key moments. The recording tells a different story:

Before the incident, Fankhauser and ally Elmer Copp are seen upstairs, with Copp descending to the lobby as Fankhauser begins filming.

Van Hesteren later enters, sits in the corner, and remains seated throughout.

Both Fankhauser and Shireman approach him, with Shireman pointing at him several times.

The evidence contradicts the narrative presented in Fankhauser’s video.

This footage, released by the Morrow County Prosecutor’s Office, captures the fatal Memorial Day encounter that led to the death of Morrow County Deputy Daniel Sherrer. The 31-year-old deputy was responding to a domestic violence call in Marengo, Ohio, when he was shot by 53-year-old Brian Wilson.

Deputy Sherrer, a four-year veteran of the force, is being remembered for his service and sacrifice. In his honor, the city of Mt. Gilead has been adorned in blue ribbons—an outpouring of community grief and support.
